About the organizer

Designing Women is a juried, nonprofit organization of women craft and art makers in New England that has run one-day artist markets since 1991. It was started by Karen Perry of Falmouth, Maine, who gathered fellow artists for a show with a local nonprofit collecting a donation at the door, and it has grown to five shows across Maine and New Hampshire. The group uses its funds to organize and promote its shows, which benefit community nonprofits serving women, children and families.
